Versatile
The venue for the largest ball in Europe is not somewhere in London or Paris – but right in the middle of Graz-- and rightly so.
16,000 people dancing and partying under one flat roof. A happy spectacle that throws the taxi drivers of Graz quite a bit off of their routine. Every minute they stop in front of the Stadthalle Graz. Each year this is the festive venue for the Ball of the Farmers Association, the largest ball in Europe. Designed by renowned Graz architect Klaus Kada, the excellent versatility of this building for large events as well as smaller ones can best be observed in a tour through the building. The hospitality of the Stadthalle Graz can already be seen from the outside, its roof extending far into the space of the street in front.
„The hospitality of the Stadthalle Graz can already be seen from the outside.“
To be exact: A full 46 meters render the forecourt weatherproof for all occasions. A lavish foyer points the way to the seminar rooms on the upper floor. On the ground floor the rooms are as versatile as the shapeshifting Barbapapa cartoon characters. Movable walls and big gates on the backside of the hall guarantee optimal conditions for a variety of events and occasions. The Styrian presentation of Junker wine was given its very own atmosphere here, and business meetings and conferences will find the necessary infrastructure. Catering for the Stadthalle is overseen exclusively by Toni Legenstein, chef at Landgasthaus “Häuserl im Wald“ in Mariatrost. The traditional Graz Autumn Trade Fair takes place at the Stadthalle, which is easily accessible by public transport via streetcar line 4. Several hotels in the vicinity can be recommended for guests from out of town.
